17th Annual Symposium

Date:  Wednesday April 20, 2022

Location: Faculty Club, 41 Willcocks Avenue

We have heard lots of practical advice on dealing with the pandemic. This year’s Symposium will offer a wider and deeper perspective.

Speakers will give us insider views on the COVID experience and the ways new and established knowledge has (or has not) guided public responses. You will hear from healthcare managers, public advisors and researchers as well as leaders in the arts and academe. Issues will include medical, social, economic, artistic and political challenges. Come to reset your perspective and take part in dynamic discussions.

The Symposium will again take place as an in-person event in the Faculty Club and will include its excellent food services, including refreshment breaks, lunch, and a wine-and-cheese reception afterwards. An option for Zoom participation will also be available. Please note that the Faculty Club will continue to follow U of T protocols requiring proof of vaccination for entry and masks when not eating or drinking.

A flyer listing speakers and topics is attached. Further details and a final program will be posted on the Senior College Symposium webpage.

Advance registration is required. Registration is open to the wider university community and the public, so it’s wise to register early.
