Touted as a literary murder mystery, this noir novel by the Polish Nobel Prize-winning (2018) writer brings together themes of aging, animal cruelty, and politics of all kinds. The Guardian review described it as “an astonishing amalgam of thriller, comedy and political treatise, written by a woman who combines an extraordinary intellect with an anarchic sensibility.”
