Topic: “I will not make this a high science talk. Rather, it will focus more on how I got to be where I am. It will include how, with my parents, I escaped Europe in 1939, why I am committed to Canada, when I decided to become a physician, how and why I was attracted into diabetes research and how I married bench research to clinical research and to the bedside. Finally I might add some of my thoughts about post-retirement life.”
